Update to Early Morning Construction Activity at Jim Miller Pump Station

Please be advised that the early morning construction activity scheduled for July 12th has been rescheduled for Monday, July 17th.  Construction crews will begin work at 5 a.m., two hours earlier than regular operating hours.

 

As part of the ongoing improvements to the Jim Miller Pump Station, construction crews will be pouring concrete for the facility’s foundation. The early start is necessary to ensure the new concrete is placed and cured properly due to very high temperatures, meeting the required specifications for quality and strength.

 

Everglade Park residents may notice an increase in construction activities such as additional on-site personnel and noise due to vehicles backing into the site. The project team will attempt to minimize noise as much as possible in consideration of the early morning start. Road closures are not expected during this time. Normal work hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. will resume on Tuesday, July 18.
